This program trains even agency owners and managers how

to analyze new business opportunities, develop marketing

strategies, negotiate, and manage more effectively. Graduates

will learn how to grow their business while earning recognized

industry credentials.

The CTC certification has represented the pinnacle of travel

industry professionalism for nearly fifty years and is designed for

seasoned travel professionals who are interested in advancing

their career.

To earn the CTC, travel professionals must have completed the

CTA program.

The CTC curriculum covers these 10 topics of study: Business

Planning, Cultural Diversity, Financial Planning, Goal Setting

and Motivation, Making Presentations, Managing Change,

Managing Conflict, Marketing Strategies, Negotiating for

Mutual Gain and Risk Management.

The CTC program can be completed in couple of months,

however, candidates have 18 months to complete testing.

Certified Travel Associates (CTAs) and Certified Travel Counselors

(CTCs) are required to earn a minimum of ten Continuing

Education Units (CEUs) per year to maintain their certification

and ensure that their travel-industry knowledge is up-to-date.

THE CERTIFIED TRAVEL COUNSELOR (CTC)

If a CTA/CTS earns a Destination Specialist or Lifestyle/Niche

Market Specialist ... that counts as the full 10 points. Completion

of the CTC is also the full 10 Credits for a CTA. You will also
